What the Name Match API does

The Name Match API scores how likely two spellings of a name belong to the same person, from 0 to 100. It is built for Indian KYC records: it ignores case, punctuation, titles (Mr, Smt, Dr, Shri) and word order, and understands initials (R Kumar / Ravi Kumar), joined names (Vijaykumar / Vijay Kumar) and common abbreviations (Mohd / Mohammed).

Popular use cases

  • →Match the PAN name with the bank-account holder name before a payout
  • →Reconcile Aadhaar, voter ID and application-form names
