What the Aadhaar Verification (DigiLocker) API does

Aadhaar verification through DigiLocker, with the customer's explicit consent. You start a verification and receive a `kycUrl`; the customer follows it and authenticates with UIDAI directly, so their Aadhaar credentials are never handled by you or by us. Once they finish, you fetch the verified record — name, date of birth, gender, address and the masked Aadhaar number — against the transaction id you were given. Two calls: ₹1 to start, ₹2.25 to fetch the result.

Frequently asked questions

Is this UIDAI compliant?

Yes — the customer authenticates with UIDAI through DigiLocker and gives explicit consent. You never handle their Aadhaar number or OTP.

Do you store Aadhaar numbers?

No. The Aadhaar number is returned masked, and only the verified result is passed back to you.

What does a verification cost?

Starting one costs ₹1. Fetching the completed record costs ₹2.25. A customer who abandons the flow is never fetched, so you pay only the ₹1.
